I remember suggesting this idea to Pete a long time ago. But with a strength/importance coefficient for the tournaments and a coefficient based on the completion time. That is, so that old tournaments are taken into account in the ranking, but with a decreasing coefficient. For example, so that the coefficient decreases by 3% each month: Q = (0.97)^N, where N is the number of months since the tournament ended. Thus, victories from a year ago will bring 69% of the initial points, victories from two years ago - 48%, three years ago - 33%, and so on. Also, the number of prize-winning places from different tournaments should ideally be different. In the same WCup or FB, points can be given not only to the top three, but also to several positions after them. In team tournaments, the points are simply divided among the entire team.
