On a serious note, the preliminary information is as follows. The Championship will take place from 01.05.2014 (Thursday) to 09.05.2014 (Friday). Participant registration will begin approximately in December, after the final approval of the specific venue (the "base," so to speak).

Regarding the game versions for CIS-2014. In order to prevent a civil war between the "holdem-muds and omaha-fucks," I have proposed creating 2 independent brackets for the upcoming tournament: VT and SoD. And there will be 2 champions: a champion according to the SoD version and a champion according to the VT version. Like in boxing (and not only). If desired (and if time permits), these champions, after being honored and awarded, will play a "sort of representative super-final" with bargaining over the version (or on VT under SoD rules).

This championship is considered and called open, but for the sake of proper organization, I will limit the number of participants to 32 people in advance. 16 in each bracket. In the event that by February-March the number of applications exceeds the limit, online qualifiers will be held. The number of spectators is unlimited.

p.s. For 3 years I played in VKL and on life (with Black Knight) purely SoD—various panics, skirmishes, etc. I liked it very much. Then, one summer, I came to VT and played Jebus Cross VT with Alex. And then 8mm6a full-VT. Since that moment, I haven't played SoD once. I tried running balance (on which I had previously enjoyed playing 300+ games in VKL)—I almost died of boredom by turn 117.
