First, I downloaded a pirated version to see what it was like. The graphics were unfamiliar, the units were strange, the hero progression was new, there were few resources, etc. Plus, there were constant glitches, crashes, and black screens. Overall, as a fan of the Heroes series, I was disappointed.
Then, I bought the licensed version (about a year later) and decided to figure it out! When I understood the game, the importance of the chosen path, and the awareness of the hero's abilities and class, I really liked the game. I can't say anything bad about it, except perhaps the crashes and black screens. Unfortunately, this happens periodically.
I really like the units; it's clear that they were made with talent and humor, as well as the heroes themselves. The Sanctuary faction simply charmed me with its music and units. The graphics are also nice, although that's not the main thing. And I was very pleased that they changed the cities. Also, the music is pleasant, calm, and unobtrusive. Enjoy the game!
