Confirmed. In the first game, I loitered around the Throne Griffin Conservatory and the naga hydra behind the naga queens, never attacking. In the second, I died on trolls for a quest tube. When I finished them off, I got 5 firebirds!:) But I didn't celebrate for long, because at night the opponent already caught me, and I had to buy my way out. I took conservatory level 3 without oil, losing a bird and a feeder. Then a naga hydra, headed into the treasure zone, but then game over.
