In the chaos patch, only the first version gave 2500+5 ore (so that it would be possible to at least build a Citadel, in order not to lose a construction day if you didn't find resources in the first few days).

I see... but has anyone ever actually built a Citadel in such a scenario? :)

It would be more logical to give 5 wood instead, so you could build a market when you're broke...

Nobody has ever dug for the Grail, and nobody ever will.

People did dig (!). The game Kobra vs BugorUA in some Bay Cup - in the control vs deep pockets matchup, Kober on 4.1.1 built the Grail in Swamp and withstood the siege :)

That was a CM game :)
