The layout there was indeed more dismal, but I happened to find a Town Portal scroll. It turned out very lucky that I managed to catch Dessa, otherwise who knows what would have happened next. Especially considering that I hadn't seen a single Dragon Utopia on the map, while my opponent had an enticing corner open with a console and a Dragon Utopia, which he intended to take on his next turn.
