Well, there is some balance... the Necropolis faction is weak, of course. In equal numbers, they will lose to anyone, but if you play properly, they will have time to develop and become quite strong... And the Stronghold faction also has decent units, and in my opinion, their main advantage is the presence of additional skills... Although, in my opinion, the Elves are still better... By the way, I haven't played as the Dwarves yet, and my friends say that this faction is completely useless... Should I get used to playing as them and practice, or is it better to continue playing as the starting factions? By the way, is anything known about whether there will be more factions in Heroes 5?

There will always be balance for some, and imbalance for others; you just have to accept that the developers control everything... it's just unknown whether this will benefit anyone, the main thing is to be able to use your game faction (factions) to the fullest, extracting the maximum benefit thanks to your experience and intellect...
As for your friends, eXeCuToR, don't listen to them; I really liked this faction, as did many others; you just need to learn how to play as it and withstand attacks if the battle is against the Dwarves... in general, you need to understand the faction:smile20: You need to play as everyone to know the pros and cons of each... of course, you can play more with your favorite faction - just to get pleasure... The Dwarves are no exception; you need to play and see what they are like...
Regarding the factions in Heroes 5... in my opinion, there will definitely be more... the developers haven't squeezed all the juice out of this orange yet and will continue to milk all the gamers by selling another expansion... A Barbarian or Viking faction (something like that) should appear, and maybe some others; that's what I think, otherwise the developers will miss out on many opportunities in this game...
