Seven angels behind my back
Whispered to my soul.
And each whispered of a different road,
And of a different fate.
And each whispered of other covenants,
And of other sins.
And it seemed to me that every one of them
Was right in their convictions.
And it seemed to me that this was how it is.
And I accepted their darkness,
Letting envy and flattery into my heart –
I do not hide this…
And the smoke of fury swirled above me,
And greed drove me mad.
Debauchery and drunkenness stole my peace,
While idleness robbed me of sleep.
Other fates, other roads –
None of the seven lied…
I succumbed to temptation, but there is sin even in him
Who thinks he stood firm.
Behind each of us, seven fallen angels
Whisper to the soul of sins.
There are no saints among us, and in our vices
Lucifer will always be right…
