Now it seems like the fish have disappeared. I sat on the Volga for twelve hours, fishing with a ring-shaped lure. In that spot, people used to catch dozens of bream. I put a feeder in the water, baited it with worms, and tied a bell to it. I sat there for three hours, but the bell didn't ring, and the other fishermen nearby weren't catching anything either. I decided to pull out the tackle to take a look. I saw small chekhon, about twenty centimeters long. I refreshed the bait and sat there for another six hours, but it was no use. I took a boat ride on the river and fished with a rod, but I didn't catch anything.
I used to go to a small bay on the Volga for overnight trips. In a day, I would catch one roach, two bream, and a perch. We fished with five rods.
A year ago, I was at a resort on the Usta River, which they said was a good fishing spot. It was indeed a good fishing spot. I caught about six fish in a couple of hours. But they were all small – roach and perch. There were also some pike, splashing around. But I couldn't catch them.
