Heroes of Might & Magic III: Horn of the Abyss

I'm replying a bit late, of course. I thought no one visited this section anymore.

Is the gameplay different from the standard Heroes of Might and Magic III?

It's basically SoD + a new faction, new objects, bug fixes from the original, and so on. There are many useful changes in the random map generator, mainly aimed at the multiplayer audience.
