I listened to the Dark Messiah soundtrack - almost all of it was imported into the VI part without changes.
There were changes only in the merging of certain tracks into one. It would simply be pointless to re-record something like that, because it couldn't be done any better. The same goes for the music from the fourth game. The current publisher is unlikely to spend money on a good symphony orchestra like the London one and decent vocalists/choir like the Mormon Tabernacle.
