HoMM3 HD is a mod (add-on) for the game Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

With the second level built, the variability and randomness of The Shadow of Death decrease.

In my opinion, the variability is lost precisely because the second level is not present by default, and The Shadow of Death already has plenty of randomness without it.
