I'm still bothered by another question. Is it possible to fix the issue where removing protection from a password-protected map corrupts it? After the password removal procedure is performed, the map no longer loads, either in the editor or in the game...
Last time, I thought it might be a version issue - the game was started a long time ago, but today I started it in 3.48, removed the protection in the same version, and tried to run it in the same version.
We will fix it, but for now:
Update to version 3.49 is available
3.48 -> 3.49 (08/05/2013)
[+] 2 new color modes are now available:
32-bit True - enables playing in windowed mode with 32-bit color depth. All graphics in the game are rendered directly in 32-bits, rather than being transformed from 16-bit to 32-bit 'on the fly' as in the 32-bit GDI and 32-bit MMX modes. This mode is the fastest, and its performance is approximately the same as the original 16-bit mode.
32-bit True (stretchable) - the same as 32-bit True, but allows you to change the window size, scaling the image, and use fullscreen mode with non-standard resolutions, just like the 32-bit MMX mode. Image scaling is performed using a fast algorithm implemented in MMX processor instructions. The performance of the 32-bit True (stretchable) mode is slightly higher than the 32-bit MMX mode.
[+] (Windows Vista/7/8 only) in the 32-bit True and 32-bit True (stretchable) modes, when the SystemCursors option is enabled, all cursors in the game are drawn using the standard operating system tools, which improves the overall graphics performance and increases the smoothness and accuracy of cursor movement. Moreover, unlike the 32-bit MMX mode (or these same modes in Windows 2000/XP), cursors of sizes 40x40 and 44x44 with native graphics, including artifacts, are used, rather than adapted 32x32 cursors.
