Started playing without restarts.
An external dwelling of Wyverns was revealed immediately — for a Smuggler, that's a luxury, so despite having no money, I play. The roads are slow, scouting is going poorly, even with the Serpents; as it turned out by day 113, both roads (to the main and to the secondary) are blocked (the guard is nasty Grand Elves). Later, due to lack of money, I decided to use a scout hero to go with two Wyverns to collect treasure chests; 60 spearmen were fine, but 90+ red Imps killed both the scout and all the Wyverns (autocombat benevolently suggested losing only one Wyvern). Oh well, I didn't get upset, played on; took the Wyvern external dwelling, the Bull external dwelling, broke through the Grand Elves by the end of the first week; Wistand has great skills — Logistics, Archery, Earth Magic, Tactics.
Second week, I head underground; there's a Necropolis secondary, and an absolutely empty respawn; I jump through the gate to my opponent's secondary; there's a million gold, two Dragon Fly Hives — everything is great. I think, "Now I'll live large," but I fall one hex short of reaching the Dragon Fly Hive. All this happens on day 127; I end my turn, and in flies Lacus with a Mosh Pit, there's more meatshield plus a Firebird. I have no money for a ransom, although the first two rounds the trade goes in my favor (a stack of 40 Lizardmen did its job), but then 3 Cows and 7 Ducks gradually gnawed through and reached the Lizardmen. Nothing to be done — I run away, without an army. Lim is left with 1 Firebird, 4 Elementals of the Mind, 12 Fire Elementals, and about 70 Sprites. I was sure she would come to finish me off, but she hesitated for some reason.
Third week: nowhere to run, barely any money, no troops except the growth; I decide, on the harshest no-road terrain, to run either to the treasure zone or to my own pathless secondary. In the end, it's the secondary — but it's no longer mine :). Through it, along the edge, I crawl out to the treasure zone; I break through Bone Dragons (12 of them with Skeleton Warriors) with an army of 5 Ducks, 6 Bulls, Serpents, and 20 Lizardmen; they also give me 30 upgraded Serpents. In the treasure zone, I found three Dragon Fly Hives (for 24 Wyverns); one Dragon Fly Hive was guarded by 110+ Medusas with Skeleton Warriors; I left several Ducks there, but in the end, I got 8.
Fourth week: I see Lim is running toward me; using a chain across the entire map, I return the army to the beaten-up Wistand; full trade, buyback, and I attack myself. Army-wise: 31 Lizardmen, 31 Ducks, 5 Bulls, 12 Basiliks, about 6 Serpents, 20 Gnolls; stats are roughly even — Lim has a little more. Her army: 8 Firebirds, 30 Air Elementals, 9 Elementals of the Mind, 9 Ducks, 150 Sprites. I immediately cast Mass Slow; it seems she couldn't find Oil, since Earth Magic was Expert. In the second round, Shield; Lim, in the second round, casts a single Haste on the Birds, but forgets that the Ducks have already activated; they crash into the Birds, killing 4, and then Morale kicks in, finishing off the stack — followed by surrender. I can't believe I managed to take the victory in this match.
Thank you for the interesting game and your time!
P.S. Thanks to everyone who watched the stream and supported me :)
