Trojan.Carberp: verdict read to criminals
So, this evil is indeed actually punishable. But the "leniency" of the verdict is upsetting in that there should be no suspended sentences in such cases: remaining free, criminals can continue their dark deeds!
Total bullshit! Some acquaintances had 1600 UAH stolen from WebMoney. Just a plain scam. Offering to exchange dollars at a low rate. So, one person acted as a guarantor, (there are some sites where they do this, and supposedly it's 100% verified) so the "perpetrators" faked their ICQ profile to look like they were that same guarantor. Well, and other contacts. Then they issued 2 invoices to transfer money to. The money didn't go to one account because it was filled, and that was no small amount — someone told me about 15 grand in greenbacks — the second one went through successfully. So, I'll cut the story short. Obviously, no one got anything in return. So they went to the cops, and those dumbasses!! couldn't even take the statement, bouncing them from one precinct to another. Like, you don't belong to us, you belong to such-and-such district. And there they say the opposite. And that's not all. When they finally gave testimony, nicknames, ICQ logs, the IP address the esteemed scammer logged in from — the glorious police's eyes were wide as saucers, not understanding a damn thing.
They gave the case to the cyber department, but it ended up being used to light someone's fireplace. Because the precinct issue didn't end there. Naturally, no one made an official request to WebMoney to find out about the transactions, and they didn't even bother to check the IP. So that's how it is. Glory to the police. And this is in the city of Kharkiv, not some backwater.
Anyway, what I want to say is: when the government at a high level or some financial companies are interested — they'll handle it. But if you're an ordinary simple mortal, you're worthless to anyone
За то что нейтралы не бегают за единичкой, для меня это уже стоит того
