How can I place town buildings as objects in the editor? I only found their models, but they are invisible for some reason.

Create an object of the "dwell" type, assign the models of town buildings to it, adjust the coordinates (their center is very far away), and adjust the tiles. Also, there is a mod for unique dwellings – it has that feature.
