It's true, especially for newcomers. In their eager search for "chocolate" (presumably referring to a desirable starting castle), they often end up with a red-highlighted castle selection, and then the opponent gets a couple of restarts and chooses the castle they want, gaining an advantage! oO
P.S. And the fact that "experienced players" consider having the first turn an advantage disappears for newcomers depending on their desire to manually choose a specific castle, especially on a small map.
