Also, Quip 2005 is already outdated because of this. You should have at least 2008, and in general, 2012 has been working without any issues for a long time. In my experience, there was only one minor issue. As for the contact problems with the newly installed 2012, this is again due to the old 2005.

P.S.: I recommend everyone to use Revo Uninstaller to remove programs - it's free and removes everything from everywhere, even previously undeletable files, and cleans up the entire registry, etc.
