HoMM3 HD is a mod (add-on) for the game Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

Something else is interesting.

I ran it on my computer. In quick battles, either 8-9 Hydras or 8-9 Hydras and 10 Cows survived. Moreover, the results changed if I completely exited the game and logged in again.

In auto-battles, many more creatures survived.
Consistently 21 Hydras, 50 Cows, 35 Basilisks.
Less often, 21 Hydras and 49 Cows (Which led me to think that the petrification of Basilisks doesn't work in quick battles, but it's not a certainty).

But if I attacked and immediately pressed Q, I mostly lost: confused: Which is very strange. (And it killed exactly 1006 Griffins).

What is the algorithm for battles using Q? Is this something new? Or is it an imitation of quick battles? Or what is it?

update: I probably won only 1 out of 70 Q battles!!! 20 Hydras survived!
