Surprise!

I think few would argue that this is simply a fantastic idea! Thank you for the great surprise!

P.S. There is, however, one point: usually, three, and sometimes four players will compete for leaving the group. Given that the aforementioned "Legends and Myths" don't generate much tournament interest (except for personal pride, of course), these 1.5 points could eliminate player "A" in the playoffs, while player "B" is left out, even though player "A" lost to player "B" and scored one fewer point in the games between the "newcomers." At the same time, player "B" was unlucky, and their opponent decided to play seriously and didn't give them a chance (or maybe the newcomer just didn't get a good draw).
P.P.S. There's also a personal aspect to consider (again, due to the lack of tournament interest, it can become a major factor): some of the newcomers in this tournament have long been familiar with "Legends and Myths" or are even good friends.
If this aspect could be refined in some way, it would be wonderful.
But I repeat, the surprise is really great, and I'm sure it will add much more interest to the tournament.
