Yesterday, I was playing a fun game, and an interesting situation arose: my only chance of not losing was to initiate a restart based on the first encounter, which, as I thought, I did by arriving at the opponent's Castle exactly on the designated day. BUT... the Castle was empty, so no battles between the heroes took place. The only rule describing this situation dates back to 2010, in the same place where Pit explains why the Castle color is important :D; in short, "ancient lore." Luckily, it was just a fun game, and twaryna acted appropriately :smile20:, BUT... if this situation had occurred in a tournament, it could have caused a lot of controversy, so I would like to see a precise formulation of the concept of "restart based on the first encounter" in the new rules, specifying what constitutes such an encounter (is it only the contact between heroes, or is capturing a colored Castle, a mine, or a resource node sufficient grounds for a restart?).
Thank you for your attention ;)
4.2. Restart based on the first encounter for maps 115-116-117, inclusive, for fast, medium, and slow roads, respectively.
An encounter is considered to be a direct contact between players, i.e., any battle between them (a battle between any heroes, a battle with the garrison of the opponent's Castle or mine).
If an encounter occurs within the specified time, either opponent has the right to request a restart immediately after it.
If both players agree to continue the game, the game continues. Subsequent encounters occurring within the specified time are not grounds for a restart.
It seems that everything should be clear here; we discussed it for a very long time.
