Current questions and answers regarding the map editor.

I'm not sure you'll find the "Lords of the North" here. We have "Lords of the Horde" going on. But you can find it by opening the extended editor mode.

A brilliant idea in its simplicity. I already opened data.pak and was wondering which files to put into the .h5m file so that the editor would open the map.

There are a lot of buttons, how do I open it?

So, let's go step by step:
1. Install the original Heroes V.
2. Open the game folder (by default - C:Program Files/Nival Interactive/Heroes of Might and Magic V), find the profiles folder there, and open the editor file in the profiles folder with Notepad, where you change the value of setvar map_editor_mode from "1" to "0".
3. Launch the map editor. One option: open the bin folder in the game folder, then launch H5_MapEditor.
4. In the map editor, select the Resource tab in the menu, then - Open Resource.
5. Go to Maps/Scenario. There you will see folders with names like CxMy, where x is the campaign number and y is the mission number. Select the mission you need and launch it.

The algorithm is the same for "Lords of the North" and "Lords of the Horde".
