The most frustrating thing is that my hero was just ONE step away from achieving a decent result and defeating the opponent on the same day without missing a turn. But in the end... a table-based quirk in the form of an extra turn given to the computer... With respect, VDV_forever
A tricky situation :) It seems the program considers winning on your turn to be a "clean victory," while winning during the turn transition is not a "clean victory." Therefore, it ends the turn transition, considering that the turn has been given to you. And only then does it check that there is no one else on the map :) And it awards you the victory on that day. So, either that's how it's supposed to work, or it's some kind of glitch.
