HoMM3 HD is a mod (add-on) for the game Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

This happens during gameplay, but I need the heroes to launch in windowed mode from the start.

If you switch them to windowed mode during gameplay and then don't switch back to fullscreen, they will always launch in windowed mode.
