I think the overestimation of the Conflux's strength came about because almost all previous games were played on the CM map, where it is one of the strongest castles, possibly even the strongest. On other maps, however, it is not as good as many believe.

I think the question of the Conflux's strength was relevant when it was possible to start as Grindan and upgrade the Fey. Also, the Conflux is strong due to the large number of double ambush locations and the ability to easily level up Necromancers.
