Let's continue the discussion. Another game as Barbarians.
Starting view:
End of the first day. The first hero, Vey, rushes upwards, as shown before. Gretchin takes the bird nest and decides to explore the paths.
We run along the dirt road to the edge of the map. There, we randomly find a Pandora box.
And here's an interesting moment.
The Pandora box is guarded by 50-99 water elementals. The Pandora box is good; theoretically, it can contain: Simple Ogres, Armored Ogres, 10k experience, 10k gold, Magic level 3, Magic level 4. If there are native zones, there may be Orcs and possibly wolves. It's a bit scary to go into the SOD against the water elementals because if there's an armored stack, it's likely a loss with no chance. If there are no armored units, the battle is still not easy, and there will likely be very large losses. Let's think, is such a risk worth it for this Pandora box? Question: What's in the black box? (© What? Where? When?). The correct answer: 45 Orcs.
P.S. On this turn, Clavius was bought, but he didn't go down the road.
And here's another question. Why might we need 45 Orcs? The answer is in the screenshot.
Two dwarf mines, 20+15, allow us to place bears in the Castle. What would happen if there were 10k experience or an empty Pandora box?
Of course, overall, the game is acceptable, but personally, I'm most worried about the question: why did Vey run upwards and not along one of the two roads.
I wrote about Vey. Later, on the water, I lost 4 birds, which is much more important to me than 45 unnecessary orcs. I regretted taking that Pandora box. I was hoping for 60 dogs or 10k gold. I would have taken the dwarf mines anyway, without losses.
