Among the Bauhaus representatives who worked in Tel Aviv were the future head of the Israeli Planning Administration (1948–1953), Arie Sharon (1900–1980), who used Bauhaus and built hundreds of houses in various styles (eclecticism, Art Deco, etc.), and the first city engineer of Tel Aviv, Yehuda Magidovich (1886–1961). He built one modest building – the former Max Pine School (now the "Etgar" College), 1935–1936 – and the famous German architect and art theorist, who went from Expressionism to the International Style, Erich (Eric) Mendelsohn (1887–1953).
