It still works; after patch 2.1, you just need to replace the map file in data18.orc.

I have a question: how many Dynasty artifacts are there in total? I currently have 29; did I miss something? I used the bug in the 4th Inferno map to get all the weapons.
I'd also like to share a quick way to level up Dynasty artifacts for those who don't like easy methods – just don't read this if you're not interested. I personally am interested in Multiplayer, and I don't want to spend a lot of time on Campaigns and leveling up weapons. Everything has been tested and works on patch 2.1. In short, on a clean account, I collected 29 Dynasty artifacts and leveled them all up to level 5 in about a day. The leveling method is simple: play Multiplayer with 2 players on 1 computer. Build a large army for both players and attack. The attacking player must be the one who wins the battle; otherwise, you won't get experience. You can realistically gain 3-5 levels for a Dynasty artifact in one battle, depending on the number of units in the armies. Then, do it again with a new weapon, and so on. For the particularly lazy (like me), you don't need to hire armies for the heroes... just cheat a little (there's plenty of information online) and have the heroes attack each other every turn, with the losing hero fleeing. Level them up to level 5, equip another weapon. Use a Mage and a Warrior as heroes; this way, you can level up all the weapons on the first map in less than an hour.

I also wanted to ask how to use pets. They seem to be in the Dynasty menu; I assign them to a hero, but they don't appear in the game. Maybe you need to complete the Campaigns to use them? By the way, besides the pets mentioned above, there also seems to be a black dragon (sold for U points) and a panther.
