The truth is simple and obvious.
So obvious, in fact, that we, seeing it every day,
habitually overlook the obvious.
Don't believe me? I don't need you to. Just go to a mirror.
What do you see?
- A stupid question, — you'll say, — of course, I see myself.
The question is not stupid at all. I didn't ask: "Whom do you see?".
I asked: "What do you see?"
- And what else could I see besides myself?
Yes, you see yourself, but do you not notice the SYMMETRY?
Two identical eyes, two identical cheeks, two identical ears...
And beneath your symmetrical forehead are two symmetrical
hemispheres of your brain, and you are on a symmetrical planet,
which has two OPPOSITE poles in their significance.
Even when under your feet you see a seemingly non-symmetrical
stone, do not forget how symmetrical its crystal
lattice is. Symmetry is everywhere. Only the blind will not see it, but they will
surely discover it by touching it with their symmetrical hands.
That is why, when you see symmetry, you see REGULARITY,
and if you see regularity — it means you see LAW.
- But how can I see the Law?
Is it not clear? You have two OPPOSITE (left and right)
eyes, two opposite hands, and so on. And you see that
OPPOSITES ARE IDENTICAL — that is (in scientific terms)
QUALITATIVELY CORRESPOND to each other. In other words,
when you see symmetry, in reality you are seeing
the Law of Qualitative Correspondence of Opposites, and
you don't need to look far for examples — the example is before you in the mirror.
We (who have come to know the Truth) call this Law the Principle
of Coexistence.
You may ask — Is this Law the Truth?
I answer — No, this Law is not yet the Truth, but it is its
TRUTH-FORMING — integral part: because this Law
also obviously implies another.
I promised you that you would see the Truth ("better to see once
than to hear a hundred times") and I will keep my word.
This time, I suggest stepping away from the mirror and going
(mentally, of course)... to the circus! :)
Why the circus? Because only there can one find today
a "live" tightrope walker who, demonstrating his art for the delight of the audience,
will show us the Truth. I could show you
the Truth using anything, but the tightrope walker is the most obvious and universally
known example.
If you ask our imaginary tightrope walker, who is
balancing over an abyss, what GOOD is to him, he will
certainly answer — BALANCE. Why? Because, having lost
balance, he will inevitably fall and...
With what does the tightrope walker maintain balance?
The answer is also obvious — with a balancing pole,
which he holds strictly in the middle. Here it is, the "Golden Mean"
of Gautama Buddha, which divides the balancing pole into TWO EQUAL
HALVES — OPPOSITES that Qualitatively Correspond to each other (equal
weight).
In other words, the Law of Qualitative Correspondence
of Opposites implies the Law of Identity (BALANCE)
of Opposites. If you have seen the STATE OF BALANCE, in
which the tightrope walker is under the circus dome, it means you
have seen the Law of Identity of Opposites, and further seen that
this state is achieved only through the Qualitative
Correspondence of Opposites.
We call this Law the Principle of Existence: because
everything that exists is IDENTICAL and, conversely, everything that ceases
its existence is CONTRADICTORY.
So that is what the symmetry you saw
in the mirror testified to! It testified that you exist.
Are you doubting? If you doubt, imagine what will happen to you
if the biological equilibrium in your organism is disrupted, or
imagine what will happen to the Solar System if
the equilibrium — identity (of opposite) centrifugal
and centripetal forces — is disrupted in it. Still doubting?
If you have imagined this, then you have seen the action of the Law of Evolution,
DENYING DISCREPANCY THROUGH ITS CONTRADICTION (disequilibrium) AND
AFFIRMING CORRESPONDENCE THROUGH ITS IDENTITY.
And you have also seen the Truth, which is the ESSENCE of everything
that exists. That is why the Truth permeates all that exists and
seems incomprehensible to us: because "form is richer than essence",
but if there is no essence — there will be no form. There will be nothing.
I have kept my word and "shown" you the Truth.
Of course, you do not yet know (or do you know?) how to use
this knowledge. Therefore, an example of its use can be found on my

Ah, yes. This Law (the Law of Evolution) we call the Principle
of Justice: because Nature denies discrepancy through its contradiction,
and Reason judges the criminal by his evil.
