The wording is normal. An increase is considered to be a new army that appears specifically in the castle (added to the existing one), because troops increase directly in the castles, i.e., the one that increased in the 1st day of the new week. And the previous army increased in the castle last week, but was simply not purchased. You can buy the army from the previous week on the 1st day of the new week!
