20.04.2013 Yostairs (Blue, Dungeon, Shakti, Shakti) def Oldboy (Red, Tower, Aine, Cristian) JC 127
First of all, I made a poorly thought-out draft. I should have just played Conflux (or Dungeon against Conflux) instead of showing off. My inexperience in SoD showed again. Tower is completely dead here.
Secondly, Jebus Cross decided to play a trick on me and gave me what I call a bait respawn.
On day 1, it showed an external Giant dwelling. My intuition immediately said — take a restart. But along with it, I found a mini-Griffin Conservatory and a Dragon Fly Hive with a lot of flies. Well, maybe I should take another day to look around?
On day 112, I found an external Naga dwelling and caught a glimpse of a Dungeon village.
And I fell for it.
From the tavern, I see that my opponent came out on day 121 (more towns). And I have ГО — Titans (15). I only broke through on day 125, losing all my shooters and 6 out of 12 Nagas.
Two steps into the center and I run into a block of Black Dragons on the road.
On my opponent's turn, I sit there staring at Aiden from a prison (with 500k exp) — expert fire magic. I'm thinking of putting Armageddon in Dungeon. Maybe I can still cling on like that. My opponent ends his turn — he has Black Dragons. A box. :)
In short, everything went one-sided :smile54:
As a final move, I decided to grab the missing piece for the Bow of the Sharpshooter (+15 to archery) from a piece of the center that my opponent had already been roaming — my scout had run very far along the road in that direction. It seemed empty. I thought — maybe the Miner ran off to finish off something at a respawn.
I decided to snatch those +15 and run away immediately. That's when the Miner got me. Turns out he was roaming right nearby — just not on the road, but in the wasteland.
