Vitaly, there's a difference. In many tournament rounds, the games count towards the ranking, and I don't think everyone would agree to throw 4-5 games in a season. Besides, it's not right to withdraw because there's no chance of winning (you messed it up yourself). It's different to withdraw due to illness or lack of time.
I, for example, will withdraw if I don't see any prospects, but if I can't withdraw, I'll just throw the games. It's not because I'm irresponsible or anything (if it were an important game in a group, I would definitely play), but because I'm +5 hours ahead of Moscow time. That is, I usually start playing at 11 PM and play until late at night. For example, yesterday I played with Predsom until 5 AM, and today I got up at 7 AM for work.
