There were a few questions during the stream about why things were done one way and not another.
1 The Griffin Conservatory under the Castle wasn't checked specifically because of the lack of mass slow. And without slow, breaking new Griffin Conservatories with 2nd-week armies is a risky business. Spending a day just to check them is an unaffordable luxury. I could have tried to max out Mephale's slow, but she was planned for the exit into the treasure zone (the one with Dragon Utopias) on 122-123 via another Griffin Conservatory. Who knew that treasure zone would be blocked by 50+ medusas. Perhaps it was worth risking a fight with them, but nearby there was another exit to 2 treasure zones, the contents of which you saw.

2 Vamps. An enticing idea, but very costly. And they are only relevant on the 2nd week, and even then there's a risk of getting wiped by some nags in a teleport.
If you noticed - there were extremely few crystals on the map, and I didn't want to sacrifice 10 when control was being actively built in the Castle.

And it's a bit disappointing that for the second time already on a mirror map I suffered because I revealed Dragon Utopias on the 1st week, while the opponent didn't reveal them and consequently didn't head towards them)
Although it's unknown which direction he would have headed without knowing about them.
