By the way, a pause in the game is a very good addition; I think everyone with children, a wife, urgent family matters, work issues, etc., will appreciate it.
Implementation:
Before starting the game, an agreement is made with the opponent, and a time for the pause is set, for example, 600 seconds, i.e., each player can take a timeout of 10 minutes during their turn.
During their turn, the Player presses the pause button, the screen darkens, and 600 seconds start counting down.
The opponent receives a message that the Player has taken a pause.
After the pause is lifted, the opponent also receives a notification that the game has resumed. The remaining time of the timeout carries over to the next turn.
I don't think 20 minutes in a 5-8 hour game will make much difference, but it will help avoid many family conflicts.
It would also be nice to add notifications that the opponent has completed their turn and their time countdown has started (if this hasn't already been done).
