If you make it so that nothing is displayed during the pause, like when taking a turn, then there will be no point in turning it on just like that. Only in those cases when it is really necessary. If this does affect the game time, it will be very insignificant. Such a pause will simply make the game more relaxed, that's all. I don't understand what's wrong with that.
