In Ashan, the idea of elves is that they use the help of forest creatures; these are their allies, not pets, so no need for riders; let them be as they are.
But what about elven commanders? They don't walk around on foot.

Cockenweits again... No, we need to replace them. The current elven dragons are quite interesting, both in terms of their appearance and tactically; I wouldn't want to change them to something else.
