Player rating for tournaments across all installments of Heroes.
So, you're lumping together speed tournaments, experience tournaments, skeleton tournaments... and they all have different numbers and compositions of participants... That's why I decided to add this type of tournament to the mix. And what? AmberSoler's system handles this, albeit imperfectly... Yours doesn't...
First of all, understand one thing. In the AmberSolera system, one of the main parts is non-linear – this is my system, and according to AmberSolera, it is fundamental. Everything else is designed to smooth out the rough edges :) And in such a way that this non-linear part ultimately cancels itself out :) Separately from the linear part, it cannot handle the Arena, but it can handle everything else, including experience, resources, skeletons, and speed. I agree that the linear part can handle the Arena independently, but in all other cases, it introduces distortions, and this is already evident from the existing calculations, which everyone except me has refused to comment on.Kyle;65326
And if you want to say that these tournaments cannot be compared, then you would be right... but only partially, because you can't compare different types of tournaments at all! I've written about this many times! Tournaments can only be compared with each other if several conditions are met (I've already written about them).
By doing this, you inadvertently admit that all your calculations of clan ratings are nonsense. But I wouldn't say that. Because even though you calculated different tournaments and different versions of the game, you only did it based on the non-linear part – where there are results for the leaders and the ratio of days to other players, without all the other nonsense. Therefore, I believe that your clan rating based on these formulas is quite good.Kyle;65326
By the way, have you noticed that if you compare speed tournaments and tournaments for collecting something (experience or skeletons) using your system, it is much more advantageous for outsiders to participate in collection tournaments, because the gap between the leader and the outsider is not many times greater, as in speed tournaments. Look at the results of the corresponding tournaments. The oscillator, at least, smooths out this obvious bias.
With the oscillator, outsiders should just give up on any of the tournaments – didn't you notice that? Take another look at the results :)
