Confirmed. Spent two out of three restarts, 2 external dwellings of Cavaliers and an external dwelling of Water Elementals failed me, then the Necro came - and the game took off. Found a stable along the way, bones were piling up briskly, but I got the urge to push past the Necro village... A hundred Greater Gorgons fell fairly easily, but after a couple more fights all the Psychic Elementals died, leaving only the bone stack. Almost ran past the shifted guard of a Castle village out of stupidity, but noticed it in time. Psychic Elementals in the citadel, started hitting Medusa Dens on week 2, sent a scout to check Conservatory 2-4 and spaced out that his entire stack was bones - my opponent was understanding, we reloaded. Double Conservatory fell pretty easily, then more Medusa Dens and the Naga Bank. Since I captured all 4 rare resource mines by week 1, I built the Mage Guild fairly early - Town Portal and Meteor Shower. Wisdom was only basic, barely leveled it up, learned the spells, and went visiting. By the finals I barely managed to level Expert Wisdom for the Implosion scroll (home gave me Summon Cavaliers :)). The advantage in mana and magic carried the day. Thanks for the game.
