Tunar won't gain experience for the troops he killed earlier, as he didn't actually kill anyone here; he simply dismissed troops on the third week. Well, he might have also received a couple of thousand for a ransom... It's unfair.

If Tunar believes that the pact is not beneficial to him, let him fight. Everything here is fair because both are avoiding active actions.

However, for the scenario with the amulets, where only one player avoids the fight, it might be worth considering adding a rule that both players are obligated to fight, as the mana cost, in addition to experience, could be significant.
