HoMM3 HD is a mod (add-on) for the game Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

This refers to a situation where you cannot hover the cursor over an object. For example, if a hero is standing on a Hive, you can only check how many wasps are inside by moving the hero off the Hive.

In my opinion, this is actually a feature of the game. If you have a strong army, you can destroy any Hive. If not, you need to check and decide whether to attack or not. So, I think this is more of a feature than a bug for the Hive. I believe that we shouldn't simplify the process of checking the number of units.
