03/06/2013 KOLONIZATOR (red, Inferno, Kalh, Pyre) def Shkent (blue, Fortress, Tazar) 2sm4d(3) 125
In the center of the endless swamps, the accursed castle Ashden loomed darkly. Streams of lava had evaporated the water and scorched the earth around the walls. The obsessed Kalh loved doing this, but the process was too slow. On top of that, the swamp dwellers had declared war. Well then, let's fight! :smile51:
Week 1
Mustered 20+ Gogs (built from the start). Pyre arrived with a ballista—she would be the main hero. I gathered gold/resources, decided to quickly build the Fire Lake and the Pit in the Citadel. The construction was completed, but due to the Pit's breakthrough failure, the army of 19 Demon Units was weak + the ballista was destroyed (only Efreeti and Pit Lords remained). On top of that, the respawn turned out to be small, and I urgently needed to take a secondary castle. I prepare for the next week.
Week 2
I buy up Efreeti, go to break through the dungeon guard (50+ Wolf Riders and 20+ Serpent Flies, lost one Efreeti out of 5). I gather gold/resources where possible. I make my way through the dungeon, see a Necropolis castle and... Tazar on a speedster, with Marius and an army nearby. I attack Tazar (he flees). Marius attacks (huge troop advantage, the core there is 50+ Gnolls and 38 Lizardmen... I only have 4 Efreeti, one per stack, I buy him off after losing one). Pyre appears in the home town, decides to clear the swamp respawn (occupied a bit earlier). A scout reveals the dungeon and sees Tazar again with an army, spending the night in the Conservatory. After my turn, he bails there (concedes). Surrender follows.
Shkent, thanks for the game! :smile20: I didn't expect it; I will celebrate the victory. We'll play again sometime, just without the bail! :D
As I understood, your opp bailed, so you win - so instead of "lose" you should write "def".
