Where did you get this information? Personally, I don't notice any progress in the public's awareness.

This is just my personal observation. It's become much calmer in the evenings now. Go out, for example, in the summer to a square or a park closer to night on a weekend and see for yourself. Of course, this ban doesn't solve all the problems, but there are significantly fewer cases of abuse.

It's simpler – a boor will always remain a boor, whether he's drunk or not. And an adequate person maintains self-control whether drunk or sober. Alcohol simply reveals a person's true nature. And if something nasty comes out of a person under the influence of alcohol, it will sooner or later come out even without it.

Well, you're just too naive, apparently, if you think so. I personally have a lot of experience in this regard, and I can say with full responsibility that almost everyone turns into a boor when they don't know when to stop (I myself, for example :)). Not every time, of course, but I'm sure everyone can recall cases when they were ashamed of their actions in the morning. If you seem "adequate" to yourself at that moment, it doesn't mean that others see you as adequate, especially if those "others" are sober. I've had several times when I was sober in a company of drinking people, who, according to my personal scale of adequacy, score 9 out of 10, and believe me, what I saw there – I'd rather not have seen it. :D
And this was very often related to "additives" – when you're already feeling good, but you want to feel even better (and it turns out the way you know). :)

That's strange, I've been living in St. Petersburg recently, I don't have any acquaintances who are sellers, but there are a couple of "problem-free" stores right near my house, and not just near my house...:confused:

Your sellers probably haven't been given a "talking to" yet. Once a person in plain clothes comes in for a test purchase, and there will be one "problem-free" store less.
