thanks for the game.
The spawn was in the underground, with external dwellings of levels 1-4 nearby and some gold as well, so I didn't restart, despite Luna and the opponent's double. As it turned out, the generator gave me only one road to the town, and along that path there was a whirlpool leading out of a one-way portal, plus that single road was blocked by nagas for a scroll and a necromancy boot artifact. With no other option, I pushed through the wilderness, reached a road leading to the enemy's Rampart town; the other end of the road led to a one-way portal, which led... back to me :smile04: While walking to the Rampart town, I had to fight through 19 Crusaders — they killed 2 Liches and a few skeletons for me, thankfully the enemy wasn't sitting in a Castle, otherwise I might not have managed it :).
In short, I built dwellings for levels 1-5 in the Citadel, learned Haste and Slow at the Rampart town, and that's about all the progress for now; I revealed a Griffin Conservatory and 2 Dragon Fly Hives on the grass. It was very tough until the middle of the second week; later, after the Dragon Fly Hives and the necromancy boots, I started to ramp up: I cleared 3 Griffin Conservatories, another Dragon Fly Hive, and Islaynn and Clavius are leveling on two fronts; I also found artifacts for magic. By the start of the third week, I had 500 skeletons, a health ring nearby; I plan to have Islaynn clear 3 stacks in this corner, grab the ring, and transfer to Clavius on the same turn. I left all the meat at Turis for boosting, and then Luna with Armageddon caught me off guard.
As the post-mortem showed, the opponent had it easy — a good road network, several Griffin Conservatories along the roads, and a Dragon Utopia near the double.
Thanks for the game.
