Well, the initial idea was that people would be executed because the voting threshold was lowered, there was no No New Victims rule, and there was a risk of being eliminated oneself due to indecision. Also, the clues would be simple, but the newspaper wouldn't reveal the killer's role. So, the idea is that you figure out which player is the killer, but you're left wondering: is he a black hat, a white hat, or just a complete maniac? And then you have to rely on your intuition and psychology.
