The night turned out to be extremely restless: a drowned dead was seen at the sewer entrance, a couple of skirmishes occurred between elves and city drunks, and ghosts were circling near the cemetery. Fortunately, there were no deaths. Although there could have been victims.

For example, Orton, who was slowly returning home, was suddenly attacked by a small group of foolish bandits. The poor fellow was pinned against the wall; they muttered something about a debt and threatened him with violence. To Orton's luck, a noble Knight happened to be passing by and stepped in for him. The bandits did not dare engage in a fight despite their numerical superiority and quickly retreated.

Someone was also looking after Wolfstet. Although the stranger tried every way to hide their presence, their athletic silhouette still flashed a couple of times in the shadows.

Arandor was seen in the company of the famous bard. They spent half the night carousing in the "The Curly Bear" tavern, after which they also visited a brothel.

Toriy spent half the night running some foolish errands. He was terribly angry about it but endured with all his might — one cannot refuse such a person.

Orton was so shocked by what happened to him that he literally lost the power of speech. Perhaps he should visit Lebeda's clinic.
For some reasons of their own, Alexeagle also decided to remain silent during the day.

Toriy has been executed
Late, a squad of guards captured their former commander. Captain Vincent was accused of betraying the crown and conspiring with foreign spies. A witcher was also present during the arrest by personal order of Princess Adda.1 As it turned out, not without reason. The guards arrived too late: while the captain was being led to prison, night fell and he turned into a ferocious werewolf. Geralt reacted instantly: he threw a silver chain at Vincent, paralyzing him. The werewolf flailed helplessly for not long, only one or two seconds, but that was all the witcher needed: a sharp jump and the silver sword went hilt-deep into Vincent's back.
-I hold no grudge against you, Geralt,- Mace said with his last strength,-you did what you had to. But now you are alone, alone against all these creatures. Do not stumble.
