I don't know if it's appropriate, but why not create fixed templates for each round? For example, the first round is played on 8mm6a, the second round, winners and the first losers play on 2cm4d3, and so on... I think it would be fairer.
I'm against the rest strategy in Pickerdam. I explain my position by saying that Pickerdam is a good starting point + scouting. And logically, if you have a good setup, you will play it with Pickerdam, and if it's bad, you will take the rest strategy with or without it.
Ideally, all castles except the starting one should be without a fort, and the same restrictions should be introduced for all Necromancers as for Izru (Necromancer cannot be advanced before 7 other skills are mastered), because the probability of an expert Necromancer being released from prison is not that high...
And dungeons should also be removed - it seems that not many good towers are found in them...
Under these conditions, it will truly be a tower tournament "first snow", and not a competition of "who finds a castle first" or "who digs up a Necromancer".
