What is your opinion about neutral creatures?

Well, at least Haven has a Sorceress. She's worth something on her own. Put a couple of them on the map and you can take on any random enemy... As for life... I can't remember any neutral creatures... really, are there none? It's been a while since I played as Haven, maybe I forgot?
