Here's an idea for a specialization:
When visiting a magical sanctuary, the hero's/opponent's army, for a week, during battle, begins to be affected by a spell effect available in the sanctuary. If an offensive spell was present in the sanctuary, the buff/debuff is chosen randomly. You can only have the effect from one sanctuary at a time.
