Gorbag, Orbag (English: Gorbag, Orbag) is a malevolent leader of an Orcish squad from Minas Morgul. He originally lived among the Nazgûl in the Dead City, but was later sent to Cirith Ungol along with the Uruk-hai leader Shagrat.
After Frodo was paralyzed by Shelob, an Orcish patrol led by Gorbag and Shagrat stumbled upon his cocooned body and took him to Cirith Ungol, where they planned to torture the prisoner. When the division of Frodo's possessions began, a quarrel broke out between the two Orcish leaders about who should get his mithril shirt. This quarrel escalated into a fierce fight throughout the fortress between the Morgul Orcs and the Uruk-hai. In this fight, Gorbag was killed by Shagrat, who then fled with the mithril shirt.
