It seems to me that the rules imply a color change only after subjective restarts.

There is a list of restarts, and then a point - - after each restart, the players change colors. The interpretation is that it applies to all restarts.
I don't see anything wrong with that. Everything is random; the player who was at the top of the table always started with the red color, and I was in the lower part and always started with blue, but the color randomized due to various restarts.
